Da Nang FC has decided to make a change on the coaching staff during the V-League break, with Truong Viet Hoang stepping down as head coach. This decision comes after the team struggled in the early part of the 2024/2025 V-League season, currently sitting at the bottom of the standings.
After 9 matches in the V-League this season, Da Nang has yet to secure a win, with 4 draws and 5 losses. Being positioned in the relegation zone, the club’s management decided to seek a new direction and make changes to improve their performance.
Da Nang FC has appointed Cristiano Roland as the new head coach. Roland recently helped the Vietnam U17 team secure a spot in the 2025 AFC U-17 Championship, and he is familiar with the Vietnamese football environment, which makes him a strong candidate for the role.
Additionally, Da Nang FC has appointed Phan Thanh Hung as the technical director. With his extensive experience managing teams in the V-League, Phan Thanh Hung is expected to provide valuable support to Coach Roland in helping Da Nang overcome this challenging period.
One of the biggest issues facing Da Nang this season has been their lack of sharpness in attack. With only 5 goals in 9 matches, Da Nang has one of the weakest attacking records in the league this year.
After the break, Da Nang will face Hanoi FC at home. They will then play two away matches against TP Ho Chi Minh and Quy Nhon Binh Dinh.
