On the morning of February 28, Binh Phuoc FC announced that coach Nguyen Anh Duc would part ways with the team after the match against PVF-CAND FC.
Ahead of the crucial clash between Binh Phuoc FC and direct rivals PVF-CAND in Round 11 of the National First Division at 6:00 PM on February 28, the club, which has connections to Cong Phuong, unexpectedly announced the departure of head coach Nguyen Anh Duc.
Binh Phuoc FC’s statement read: “Coach Nguyen Anh Duc has decided to end his journey with Binh Phuoc FC after the match against PVF-CAND this weekend. It is a regretful and emotional decision for the club’s management, players, and the fans who admire him. This was not an easy choice and was carefully considered by coach Anh Duc and the club’s leadership.
Despite the trust and desire for him to continue, out of self-respect and a deep sense of commitment to his honor-bound promise at the start of the season—more importantly, driven by the aspiration to see the club grow even stronger—coach Anh Duc discussed and mutually agreed with the club’s management that this decision would be the most suitable step for a brighter future for both sides.
Looking back, we can clearly see the mark that coach Anh Duc has left. With responsibility and dedication, he has guided the team through many challenges, achieving commendable results.
His contributions to laying the foundation for Binh Phuoc FC from its early days will always remain significant milestones. Though there are still unfinished plans, we cherish what has been accomplished and believe this is a necessary transition for both coach Anh Duc and the club.
A heartfelt thank you to coach Nguyen Anh Duc for his valuable contributions over the past period. We wish him good health, happiness, and success in his future endeavors.
The ‘Green Warriors’ will give their all in their final match under his guidance as a heartfelt tribute to the devoted coach who has been with the club since the beginning. Best wishes to him—a dedicated, responsible coach with great ambition.”
