Bahrain, 26 October 2025 – Vietnam national golf team concluded their campaign at the Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain with an impressive performance, earning two silver medals in the Men’s Individual and Men’s Team events — a historic result that highlights the steady rise of Vietnamese golf on the continental stage.
Vietnamese golf continued its impressive growth trajectory at the Asian Youth Games 2025, as the national team secured two silver medals across individual and team categories after a series of remarkable performances from the young golfers.
Represented by Doan Uy, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Le Chuc An, and Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh, the Vietnamese squad entered the final day of competition with strong medal hopes — and they delivered.
In the Men’s Individual event, 16-year-old Nguyen Tuan Anh showcased exceptional skill and composure. He carded a brilliant 66 (-6) in the final round, featuring seven birdies and only one bogey. His total score left him just one stroke behind Han Jin of China, who sealed the gold medal with a decisive birdie on the final hole. Despite narrowly missing out on gold, Tuan Anh’s silver medal marked a significant milestone for Vietnam in continental youth golf.
Meanwhile, Doan Uy also shone with a solid performance, finishing with 70 (-2) on the final day. His consistency played a key role in Vietnam’s overall success in the Men’s Team event, where the team recorded a combined score of (-14) — only one stroke short of China, who claimed gold.
In the Women’s Individual competition, rising star Le Chuc An closed her campaign with an impressive 68 (-4) round, bringing her total score to (-9) and securing 10th place overall in a highly competitive field. Her teammate Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh finished at (+3), helping Vietnam’s women’s team rank fifth in the Women’s Team event.
This achievement follows the national team’s success at the 32nd SEA Games, where Vietnam captured three medals — further underlining the nation’s growing influence in the regional golf scene.
The results from Bahrain not only add to Vietnam’s medal tally at the Asian Youth Games 2025 but also serve as a crucial stepping stone toward the upcoming 33rd SEA Games in Thailand this December, where the golfers are aiming to continue their impressive form and elevate Vietnamese golf to new heights.
