Bangkok, 12 December 2025 – Vietnam Audition team delivered an outstanding performance, winning two gold medals as the discipline made its first appearance at the SEA Games, highlighting the rapid rise of Vietnamese esports.
Vietnam Audition team made a strong impression at SEA Games 33 by securing two gold medals in the very first edition of this discipline at the regional sports festival. Although Audition is currently classified as a demonstration event, the achievements of the Vietnamese players clearly underlined the country’s growing dominance in esports.
In the women’s singles category, Vietnamese players showed clear superiority over their regional rivals. Le Thi Hoai Phuong delivered a brilliant and confident performance throughout the competition to claim the gold medal, earning Vietnam its first title in Audition at the SEA Games. Adding to the success, her teammate To Y Linh also performed impressively to take the silver medal, turning the final into an all-Vietnam showdown and confirming the team’s overwhelming strength in this event.
The commanding display by Hoai Phuong and To Y Linh not only demonstrated Vietnam’s leading position in one of the most eye-catching performance-based esports disciplines at SEA Games 33, but also reflected the steady and professional development of Vietnamese esports in recent years. Their consistency, technical precision, and stage presence set them apart from the rest of the field.
Vietnam’s success did not stop there. Hoai Phuong continued her remarkable day by teaming up with Truong Giang in the team overall event. The duo once again showcased excellent coordination and performance quality to secure a second gold medal, completing a perfect day with two gold medals for Vietnamese esports.
Although Audition remains a demonstration discipline and its results do not count toward the official overall medal table, the significance of these victories goes beyond medal statistics. The strong performances by the Vietnamese players have helped boost interest in the discipline and strengthened hopes that Audition could be included as an official medal event at future SEA Games.
