China, 14 February 2026 – Following their training camp in China, where they played two friendly matches against the host nation, the Vietnam women’s national team gained valuable experience and important lessons. Reflecting on the camp, forward Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha described it as a crucial opportunity for the team to improve and better prepare for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup finals.
Speaking about the opponent, Thanh Nha noted: “The China women’s national team plays with great physical strength, quick one-touch combinations, and very aggressive challenges. Against such opponents, if we are not strong enough in duels and fully focused, we will be at a disadvantage.”

Thanh Nha, who scored Vietnam’s only goal across the two matches, said the moment would serve as motivation to keep pushing herself further. “That goal has encouraged me to maximize my strengths. In matches, I need to play with more determination and confidence so I can contribute more to the team,” she said.
The friendly matches also provided valuable opportunities for younger players to gain match experience, test their abilities, and help the coaching staff evaluate tactical approaches. Assessing the overall training camp in Shenzhen, Thanh Nha emphasized that the team had improved significantly in tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and competitive intensity—key factors required to compete at the continental level.
She also affirmed that the entire squad remains focused on addressing weaknesses and continuing to improve, with the clear objective of achieving the best possible result at the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026, scheduled to take place this March.
