Hanoi, 24 March 2026 – On March 24 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) held the draw ceremony for the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship schedule in an online format.
This year’s tournament will feature eight teams: Hanoi, Luxury Ha Long, Sahako, Tre Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Titans, Thai Son Bac, Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, and Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh City. The competition will follow a double round-robin format, with teams playing home and away matches to determine the final standings.
According to the schedule, the first leg will take place from May 9 to June 14, 2026, while the return leg will run from June 24 to July 31, 2026. Matches will be hosted at two main venues: the District 8 Futsal Arena in Ho Chi Minh City, home to six teams, and the Cau Giay Indoor Hall in Hanoi, home ground for Hanoi and Thai Son Bac.
Speaking at the event, Nguyen Minh Chau, Deputy General Secretary of VFF and co-head of the organizing committee, emphasized the importance of the tournament within the national competition system. He highlighted that it provides a valuable platform for futsal clubs to compete, gain experience, and improve their professional level.
“The Vietnam Football Federation believes that with thorough preparation from the clubs and strong efforts from the organizers, the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship will continue to attract fans and showcase clear improvements in quality. It will also help identify more talented players for the national futsal team,” Nguyen Minh Chau stated.
A key highlight of this season is its close connection with the international competition system, following the Asian Football Confederation’s decision to relaunch its club-level tournament. Accordingly, the champion will represent Vietnam at the 2027 AFC Futsal Club Championship, while the runner-up will qualify for the 2027 ASEAN Futsal Club Championship. Participating teams must meet all AFC/AFF requirements; otherwise, VFF will consider selecting the next eligible team. If early qualification is required before the end of the 2026 season, selections will be based on the final standings of the 2025 season.
With strong preparation from all clubs, the 2026 season promises to deliver exciting and competitive matches, reaffirming its status as the top futsal competition in Vietnam while laying a solid foundation for future international ambitions.
