The award ceremony took place in Suwon, South Korea, following the final between Tokyo Verdy Beleza and Naegohyang FC. The Vietnamese club received recognition for their professionalism, team spirit, and positive image throughout the tournament.
During the group stage, Ho Chi Minh City Women FC competed in Group A alongside Melbourne City FC Women, Stallion Laguna FC, and Lion City Sailors Women FC. The Vietnamese representatives secured a place in the quarter-finals after finishing second in the group thanks to a series of determined performances.
Their progression to the knockout stage highlighted not only the growth of Ho Chi Minh City Women FC but also the rising level of Vietnamese women’s football on the continental stage.
Beyond their on-field achievements, the Fair Play Award served as recognition of the club’s sporting spirit and professional conduct throughout the competition. Although their journey at the tournament has ended, the impression left by Ho Chi Minh City Women FC at the AFC Women’s Champions League 2025/2026 is expected to inspire Vietnamese women’s football to aim even higher in the future.
