LION Championship 33 unveils official fight card featuring Vietnam-China showdowns and title rematch

Hanoi, 2 July 2026 – The LION Championship, Vietnam’s premier professional MMA promotion, has officially unveiled the fight card for LION Championship 33 (LC33). Featuring a groundbreaking 2v2 MMA contest, an eagerly anticipated title rematch, and several Vietnam-China matchups, the event is set to take place at 7:00 PM on July 11 at Quan Ngua Sports Complex in Hanoi.

The main event will see reigning women’s 52kg champion Nguyen Vu Quynh Hoa defend her title against Lo Thi Phung in a highly anticipated rematch. Having previously met inside the cage, the two fighters will renew their rivalry with the championship belt on the line. The bout is expected to determine the undisputed queen of the division.

Also featured on the main card is a crucial men’s 60kg contest between Bach Van Nghia and Danh Quoc. With title contention at stake, the winner is expected to earn the next opportunity to challenge for the championship belt.

One of the biggest attractions of LC33 will be a historic collaboration between LION Championship and Chinese combat sports promotion WLF (Wu Lin Feng). For the first time in Vietnamese professional MMA, fans will witness a 2v2 “MMA Duo” contest in the men’s 135kg category. Vietnam’s pairing of Ha The Anh and Tran Viet Anh will face China’s Qiansa Luoluo and Peng Zhengwen in a unique format that requires not only individual skill but also exceptional teamwork and tactical coordination inside the cage.

The international rivalry continues across several other bouts. In the men’s 65kg division, Nguyen Van Lam will take on China’s Shen Zhonghao, while Nguyen Thanh Thoan faces Shama Yige in the men’s 56kg category. Meanwhile, Nguyen Huu Han and Nguyen Hoang Thach are also scheduled to represent Vietnam against Shen Long and Gao Longjie, respectively.

Adding further international flavor to the event, Dan Vinni of the United Kingdom will square off against Australia’s Zack Joshua Bennet in the men’s 77kg division, giving fans another intriguing cross-border showdown.

The undercard also promises plenty of excitement, featuring Dinh Van Khuyen against Le Huy Hoang, Nguyen Tuan Phong versus Tran Minh Trung, and the opening men’s 56kg bout between Hoang Tien Trung and Pham Van Hao. Each matchup is expected to showcase high-level competition and fast-paced action.

LION Championship 33 will be broadcast live exclusively via the VTVPrime Event Pass LC33 system and VTVcab platforms beginning at 7:00 PM on July 11, 2026. With championship stakes, international rivalries, and the debut of an innovative 2v2 MMA format, LC33 promises to be one of the biggest martial arts events of the year for Vietnamese MMA fans.
