Truong Tuoi Dong Nai sign former teammate of 2026 World Cup sensation

Dong Nai, 15 July 2026 – Having officially secured promotion to the V.League 1, newly promoted Truong Tuoi Dong Nai FC are showing their ambition by strengthening their squad ahead of the new season. The club’s latest addition is Serbian striker Andrija Majdevac, who has been unveiled wearing the No. 11 shirt.

Born in 1997, Majdevac brings valuable experience from Serbian football, having represented clubs including Napredak Krusevac and Novi Pazar. With his physical presence and goalscoring ability, the Serbian forward is expected to provide a significant boost to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai’s attacking options as the club prepares for the challenge of competing in Vietnam’s top flight.

The signing of Majdevac also underlines the newly promoted side’s determination to build a competitive squad capable of making an immediate impact in the V.League 1. Backed by significant investment and an ambitious recruitment strategy, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai are looking to establish themselves as a team capable of competing strongly in their first season back at the highest level of Vietnamese football.

An interesting detail from Majdevac’s career is his previous connection with Vozinha, the experienced goalkeeper of the Cape Verde national team. The two were once teammates, giving Majdevac the opportunity to share a dressing room with an established international player.

Vozinha’s name has also attracted attention among Vietnamese football followers in the past, having reportedly been linked with a potential move to the V.League 1. Although such a transfer never materialized, his former teammate Majdevac has now made the move to Vietnam to begin a new chapter in his career.

Majdevac’s experience across different competitive environments could prove valuable as he adapts to the demands of Vietnamese football. The Serbian striker will be expected to play an important role in Truong Tuoi Dong Nai’s attack and provide the goals needed to help the newly promoted club compete at V.League 1 level.

With further squad reinforcements and strong investment ahead of the new campaign, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai are making their intentions clear. Rather than simply aiming to survive after promotion, the club appear determined to establish themselves as a competitive force and could emerge as one of the V.League’s most intriguing teams in the upcoming season.
