Ho Chi Minh City, 25 July 2026 – Thai Son Bac were crowned champions of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship following the final round of matches on the evening of July 25.
Before the last round, the title race was a two-team battle between Thai Son Bac and Thai Son Nam. Trailing the leaders by one point, Thai Son Nam needed to win their match and hope that Thai Son Bac dropped points to retain the championship.
Thai Son Nam fulfilled their part of the equation by overcoming a resilient Sahako side 4-2. However, the result they needed elsewhere did not materialize. Thai Son Bac showed no sign of pressure as they produced an emphatic performance to defeat Tan Hiep Hung 6-0.
The commanding victory secured Thai Son Bac their first HDBank National Futsal Championship title in 16 years. Meanwhile, Thai Son Nam’s three-year reign as champions came to an end, with the defending champions having to settle for second place.
The 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship was jointly organized by the Voice of Vietnam, the Vietnam Football Federation and HDBank. This year marked the 10th consecutive season in which the three organizations have collaborated to stage Vietnam’s national futsal competitions.
